No Kidding

Beware the Ides of March they said,

beware that tricky day!
But none is trickier than April 1st,
so beware of pranks that play,
and of half truths that sway
the gullible
(Who make such easy prey.)
Beware!
Take care,
my friends on this
springtime day of play.
(Also Happy National Poetry Month!)
