What is life
but a series of moments,
of memories,
woven together in the ribbons and twine of time.
Every once and again
we find ourselves slammed
by the force of a clear and striking
flash
of a moment
as it happens…
as it passes…
as it fades…
that interrupts the steady march
of the everyday.
These moments stand out
as bows and tangles,
knots and twists,
in the threads that weave our stories;
the times we ache to remember and
the days we can never forget.
I love this, so powerful, truly speaks volumes to me, I’d love if you could read some of my writing and let me know what you think, it’d mean the world, thank you 🙂 ✨

Thank you for reading and commenting! Who knows where writers get ideas from sometimes?!

Oh, no my friend, the ideas come from the soul. The only question is where will they take you?

I think I’ll leave it up to my imagination to try and answer that question.

Ha ha ha, that’s a safe response! I only meant a writer’s intuition is their true compass. The azimuth is garnered by the subconscious. Therefore their words are just a footprint of their thoughts.

I love that idea!! ‘Their words are just a footprint of their thoughts.’ That is beautiful!

Thanks, from what I read on your page you have realized that to speak is easy, but writing requires you to leave a piece of your spirit blowing in the wind for all comers.

Sometimes speaking is easy… Other times I have to assure myself that I do indeed speak a language fluently. 🙂

This was marvellous. The spurts of alliteration and assonance made my tongue feel weird. This is some verse that needs to be spoken out loud!

Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it! I always like to play with the sounds of words, so I’m very happy to hear you feel it should be read aloud! 🙂
